Abstract

The article presents a social-philosophical analysis of the fundamental contradiction between the declared ideals of artificial intelligence (AI) integration into political activity and the actual, largely spontaneous process of digitalization in this sphere. The relevance of the study is driven by the fact that AI technologies are increasingly penetrating the domains of public administration, electoral processes, political communication, and strategic planning — yet the theoretical understanding of these transformations lags significantly behind practice. Through the reconstruction and critical analysis of key contemporary research approaches — technocratic, socio-critical, and normative-ethical — a substantial theoretical vacuum is identified both in the conceptual understanding of the algorithmization of politics itself and in the development of corresponding legal and ethical frameworks. It is shown that the digitalization of political institutions, and in particular the introduction of AI tools into managerial decision-making processes, is currently carried out in a predominantly spontaneous and unsystematic manner, in the absence of coherent social-philosophical reflection on its goals, boundaries, and consequences. The emerging norms governing AI implementation are largely reactive and “catch-up” in nature, shaped more by technological logic than by the value orientations of contemporary governance. The research hypothesis posits the possibility and necessity of developing a more human- dimensional, humanistically oriented model of digital politics - one in which technologies serve not to replace human judgment, but to support and enhance it.
