Abstract

The article poses a problem of identification and typology of intra-linguistic and extralinguistic factors of lexical access error, which is on the whole connected with the study of relations between multilingual lexicon units. The purpose of the article is to consider the word access errors in case of multilingualism in the process of generating a spontaneous text in a closely related language (in Czech, with Russian as the native language). The material for the research are spontaneous monologues produced by Russian multilingual students. Using the methods of semantic, distributive and formal-structural analysis, the typology of access errors (in terms of lexical transfer) with their frequency characteristics is obtained. It is shown that the most frequent types of access errors are interlingual transfer of morphemes, insertion of a Russian word and intralingual transfer of morphemes, which refutes the opinion of Western linguists about the prevalence of the translator’s false friends among transfer phenomena in closely related bilingualism. The extralinguistic factors of access errors are related to language kinship, recipient design and lack of time. Thus, it is proved that the conditions of spontaneous production of text lead to an increase in the number of some types of access errors – ‘zero access’ and recourse to the addressee. The research proves that the set of error classes and the frequency of their implementation in speech are specific for a particular pair of closely related languages and the conditions for their use. The frequency intra-linguistic transfer of morphemes (within the Czech language), as well as selection by lemmas of the same lexeme and an online production of a unit are found. These phenomena are obviously connected with the richness of the derivational and relational resources of the pair of closely related Slavic languages. This conclusion refutes the consistent modular concept of speech production, which was put forward on the basis of the English language.
