Abstract

The article represents several results of an empirical study concerning the interrelatedness of explicit, implicit, and peer measures of personality traits according to the Big Five model as well as their behavioral indicators. Modification of Implicit Association Test according to the Big Five model is also described. Advantages and disadvantages, limitations and artifacts of both explicit and implicit personality traits are considered. It was revealed that implicit extraversion is able to predict relevant behavioral indicators. Moreover, a number of explicit traits measures as well as peer assessments of personality traits predicted various behavioral indicators. Theoretical and methodological implications of the implicit tests application in psychology of individual differences are discussed.
