Abstract

Axiology of personal formation and development is an important philosophical problem. It has always been topical in crisis conditions of society and now has taken on a new cognitive horizons. The aim of our study was to compare the different interpretations to the axiological problem of the development of personality in the European philosophical tradition. Social-and-philosophical analysis of this problem was based on comparative and normative-value approaches. It was considered a complex evolution to the axiological problems of personal development in the European philosophical tradition. Single-line axiological diagrams and models of personality gave way to more complex theoretical constructs — the study of man as a coherent system evolving under the influence of the society.
