Abstract

The article highlights the peculiarities of the personality profile of a mother and the relationship in the dyad, where children are born with low weight and born prematurely. The urgency is due to the acute demographic situation, which continues to be very important for our country. The article discusses the factors that complicate the formation of the mothers in preterm labour, the impact of prolonged traumatic situation in a dyad. The results of a psychological study of characteristic personality traits of mothers, who give birth to underweight children are presented, thei personal characteristics are given. Such important psychological characteristics, as: emotional stability, uneasiness, steadiness, discipline, sociability, confidence, frustrirovannost, perception of reality, mood, motivation of women are commented. In article personal characteristics of mothers in the postnatal period and how distinctions of personal features of mothers influence the relations in a dyad reveal and cause them are revealed. And the characteristic of «a syndrome of parental confusion» is also given and an attempt to analyse process of formation of motherhood at the birth of the underweight baby, difficulties of establishing contact in a dyad «mother – the underweight baby» is made. In article methods and forms of psychological assistance of mother for optimization of the relations in a dyad are considered.
