Abstract

The article proposes general characteristics of Russian “enclaves” in China on the basis of research of modern literary scholars (Harbin and Shanghai) and the reasons for their becoming the subject of artistic depiction in Russian literature of the early 21st century are explored (works by B. Akunin, E. Antashkevich, E. Baryakina, A. Voronkov, V. Davydov, E. Kishkinа [Li Sha], A. Orlov, S. Prokopiev, N. Staroselskаya and some other modern writers), common features of recreating the life of Russian emigration inliterature are revealed.
