Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the protective effect on low-carbon steel in solutions of 5% hydrochloric acid of the synthesized potential inhibitors from a group of thiazoles and thiadia- zoles. The mechanism of the protective action of the investigated compounds was evaluated by the method of polarization curves, and their influence on the kinetics of partial electrode reactions was studied.
