Abstract

The article tells about the native Assyrian poet Givargiz Khoshab (1907-1963). It was an outstanding representative of the Assyrian Diaspora in the USSR. Having remained in youth without both legs, having all life as cleaner of footwear, he wrote verses and songs in the native language, which were highly appreciated by figures of the Soviet culture.
