Abstract

Literature sources describing the synthesis of spiro compounds containing a 3-hydroxypyrrol-2-one fragment are described. The purpose of this literature review is to show the place and convenience of methods for the synthesis of spiro compounds containing a 3-hydroxypyrrol-2-one fragment heterocyclization of 1H-pyrrol-2,3-diones, compared with other methods of their synthesis.
