Abstract

Heterogeneous reduction of phenylacetylene is an important process in organic chemistry used to convert this unsaturated hydrocarbon into more saturated compounds. Phenylacetylene (C₆H₅C≡CH) is a compound with a triple carbon-carbon bond, which makes it chemically active and promising for various reactions. Using the cyclic voltammetry method, the electrochemical and electrocatalytic properties of diethyl 2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate in the presence of acetic acid, trifluoroacetic acid and phenylacetylene were studied
