A methodical approach for determining the content of lignin in plant materials by the FT-IR method in the mid-infrared range has been developed. The technique for determining lignin content is based on the use of a cali- bration graph reflecting the dependence of the intensity of the 1510 cm-1 analytical absorption band on the lignin con- tent in model samples. This method was tested on a wide range of lignocellulosic biomass samples. The suitability of the proposed method for the determination of lignin content has been shown.Downloads
