Abstract

The thermal decomposition of nickel (II) formate, acetate and oxalate by the synchronous thermal analysis method has been investigated. The metallic nickel as a final product in all cases in an inert atmosphere was established. Carbon oxide (IV) and water were found as a products of the gaseous decomposition by the methods of thermogravimetric analysis combined with mass spectroscopy. The conditions for obtaining powdered metallic nickel were found. The dispersion of the obtained nickel was measured by the scanning electron microscopy. It is shown that the resulting metallic nickel has a different dispersion depending on the initial salt.
