“Bulletin of Perm University. Biology” is a peer-reviewed scientific journal intended for publishing the results of original fundamental and applied research in the form of scientific articles, reports, information messages\reports, bibliographic surveys and reviews.

The authors of articles published in the journal are researchers from different universities, academies and research institutions from Perm, and other cities in Russia and abroad. The wide audience of the Bulletin is due to the interdisciplinary complex character of the research activities at the Biological Faculty of Perm State University, which has long been known as a center for studying topical issues of biology and ecology, as well as environmental protection. The Faculty and its departments maintain partnership relations with many Russian and foreign universities and institutes.

Mass media registration certificate Periodical No. FS 77-58592 dated July 14, 2014. The Bulletin was founded in 1994 and was originally published as a thematic issue "Biology" as part of the Perm University Bulletin. In 2012, it was registered as an independent scientific periodical. In 2014, it was re-registered due to a change of name (the English name of the journal was registered).

The journal is published 4 times a year.

The Bulletin is included in the Open Access electronic scientific library "CyberLeninka", an organization of the Limited Liability Company "Iteos" LLC (Moscow) http://cyberleninka.ru. Contract No. 1710-1 dated September 16, 2013.
CyberLeninka exports the journal to the open international repositories of scientific information Google Scholar, OCLC WorldCat, OpenAIRE, Bielefeld Academic Search Engine (BASE), Socionet.

The Bulletin is registered in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI): Contract No. 347-08/2012 dated August 13, 2012.

Articles published in the Bulletin are provided to the RSCI within 15 working days from the release date the corresponding issue, in accordance with the Contract.

The Bulletin accepts original articles and materials that have not been previously published or submitted for publication in other journals. All published articles have bibliographic lists prepared in accordance with the rules of publication and international requirements in Russian and English (References).

Key words and abstracts in Russian and English are given for each article. International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) 1994-9952.
