FEATURES OF REGIONAL POLITICAL REGIME IN THE REPUBLIC OF BURYATIA

The article deals with the features of the regional political process.a wide empirical material is used in the study of this issue. The paper considers approaches to the definition of the concept of political regime, based on the existing conceptual interpretations of the category regional political regime the author's team builds its own methodology for assessing the functioning of the regional political regime on the basis of fixing changes in the practices of power in the national region.The author's team comes to the conclusion that the specific political culture of the region is more the basis for the consolidation of authoritarian management practices, and the policy of the Federal center contributes to the strengthening of authoritarian practices in the exercise of power in the region.Institutional changes in the Republic of Buryatia have affected many areas. Direct elections Of the head of the region in 2017, elections of deputies of regional legislatures in 2018, direct elections of the mayor of the administrative center of the region in 2019. In spite of the measures taken to liberalize the political process in the region is the strengthening of authoritarianism.
