The formation of the concept of "political risk" in political science

The article discusses the history of the emergence of the concept of "political risk". In this regard, the author studies the history of the emergence of the concept of "risk" and factors influenced this process. Based on the analysis of Nicholas Luhman’s understanding of risk the author moves to the issue of using the concept of "risk" in mathematics and related sciences. The article discusses the impact of this transition on the concept of "risk". It describes different approaches to the consideration of "risk" in the scientific community. Then, the author analyzes the emergence of the concept of "political risk" in the social sciences within the framework of the research areas specified by the author.
