The military aspect of Russia's cooperation with Brics

Abstract

The article discusses the military potential of the BRICS countries, special atten-tion being paid to the Russian Federation. The issue of the military and political factors interdependence is studied. In particular, it is emphasized that at the mo-ment there are no preconditions for the BRICS group to gain the formal status of a military alliance. It is concluded that the military factor can become unifying for all BRICS members providing there is further growth of potential for cooperation in this sphereDOI: 10.17072/2218-1067-2016-2-169-177
