The institution of presidency in the information space of the modern world

The article analyzes the main approaches to the positioning of the president in the modern information space, involving an image choice, top-priority practices of public relations, etc., and emphasizes the necessity of distinguishing between the processes of information “delivery” and perception. The notion of the “information space criticality level” is introduced, two types of information flows between the president and citizens (upstream and downstream) are considered.
