Monitoring of ethnopolitical conflict potential

The article examines work of organizations specializing in monitoring of ethnopolitical conflict potential, dividing these organizations into several categories. Particular characteristics of their work and funding are analyzed in terms of setting the monitoring goals and objectives, use of terminology, and setting an agenda for the regulation of interethnic relations. The author concludes that the monitoring activities satisfy demands of the founders, clients and donors and that the transformation of such structures is inevitable due to the evolving political situation within particular countries and at the international level, changing views of political elites and general public on ethnic and race issues, and relations between people belonging to different religions, ethnic groups and races, particularly as a result of mass immigrationDOI: 10.17072/2218-1067-2016-4-180-193References
