This reviewed monograph[1] is dedicated to the development, current state, and methodological potential of electoral geography. Drawing on a wide array of domestic and international electoral, political, and geographical studies, the author demonstrates not only the historical trajectory of the academic discipline, but also how electoral geography opens up new avenues for understanding and interpreting elections as political process, institution, instrument, procedure, and phenomenon. Through the "geographical lens" it is possible not only to grasp the spatial extent and dimensions of elections, but also to employ methodological instruments and spatial analysis techniques. In other words, the methods of electoral geography "ground" elections while simultaneously enabling their conceptualization and understanding in terms of spatial structure, organization, and impact.
