Abstract

The issue of promotion of tourist destinations and regional tourist product is one of the important areas of scientific research in the tourism industry. There are several reasons for the growing interest in studying this topic. The authors point out the main of all: an increase in the number of tourist destinations, the rapid development of media vehicles and dissemination channels, emergence of several new source markets. Most of the research in the literature on this topic focuses on certain aspects of the promotion of a tourist destination, its techniques and tools. Consequently, muchl ess attention is paid to the development of a comprehensive program defining a plan to promote a tourist destination. The purpose of this article is to formulate the author’s cumulative algorithm of actions aimed at promoting a tourist destination. The promotion program is based on the analysis of several existing concepts, in addition, it reflects the key features of the tourist destination as an object of promotion.
