Requirements for Publication
For the authors
Before starting work with your manuscript and submitting it through the journal’s website, please familiarize yourself with the following submission guidelines.
General information
- The journal accepts for consideration manuscripts that fit the size constraints of 30,000 – 50,000 characters (including spaces). Manuscripts should be submitted electronically. Each article should be accompanied by an abstract and keywords both in Russian and English.
- Before preparing and submitting a manuscript, authors should familiarize themselves with the Regulations on Ethical Standards of the Editorial Policy of Perm State University (on the website of Scientific Journals of Perm State University).
- A manuscript is accepted for consideration only on condition that it meets the journal’s research focus and formatting guidelines posted on the journal's website as well as provided that it ensures open access (has no restrictive markings). The article must be original, not previously published or submitted to any other publications.
- The entire process of work on the manuscript and materials takes place through the electronic editorial office website. Authors need to sign up and follow the prompts and instructions given.
- When materials are submitted to the journal, they are registered. The author of the article is notified that the manuscript, files with illustrations and tables, the information about the author(s), the license agreement have been received.
- The manuscript, materials, and registration data are evaluated for compliance with the technical requirements. If there is non-compliance, the article can be rejected.
- Scientific articles submitted to the journal undergo anti-plagiarism check. Verification is performed using the plagiarism detection program ANTIPLAGIAT. The optimal borrowing threshold is 20%.
- The journal reserves the right to reject an article if the author is unable or unwilling to follow the reviewers' recommendations, or if there is a significant deviation from the deadlines set for revision. If it is not possible to publish the article, the journal sends the author a reasoned refusal.
- If the reviews are positive, the article may be rejected by the editorial board if it turns out that: it has been published or submitted to other publications; the authors have not provided all the necessary documents; the formatting of the text does not meet the journal’s requirements.
- The editors reserve the right to reduce and correct the article.
- If the editorial board does not fully share the views of the author of a manuscript to be published, the editors have the right to make a footnote about this fact, or to place the manuscript in the “Discussions” section. Manuscripts published as a discussion paper can be accompanied by a corresponding footnote. The journal is not responsible for inaccurate data provided in articles. The accuracy of information presented in articles is the authors’ responsibility.
- Any copyright infringement is prosecuted by law. Reprinting of the journal's materials is allowed only by agreement with the journal. Citing the journal is mandatory.
- Manuscripts accepted for publication are not returned to the authors. Electronic versions of manuscripts are kept in the editorial office for5years.
- The journal does not keep manuscripts that have not been accepted for publication. Manuscripts that have received a negative review are not published and are not returned to the authors.
- Publication and additional work with manuscripts are free of charge. Royalties are not paid either
