The journal "Geographical Bulletin" is a peer-reviewed journal owned in 2005 by Perm State University with the Faculty of Geography. The journal represents theoretical, methodological and practical results of scientific activity of Russian and foreign representatives of geographical sciences. The articles contain original author's ideas and results of the research on geographical theme.

Since 2015 the journal has been included into the List of the leading peer-review journals and editions, in which the main research results of doctoral and PhD theses must be published.

The journal is listed in a special information-analytical system “Russian Science Citation Index” (RSCI). The journal is listed in the following subscription data bases  electronic libraries and international scientometric databases: CyberLeninka (scientific electronic library) and Ulrich's Periodicals Directory. All databases are open access systems.

The journal is published 4 times a year, articles may be submitted all the year round. The main text of the article may be written in the Russian, English articles should be coordinate with editors.

 Only original articles that have not previously been published in other journals are eligible for publication in the journal. When submitting a manuscript for review, the author automatically agrees not to publish it, either in whole or in part, in any publication without the consent of the Editorial Board.

 All research papers received by the editorial board of the journal "Geographical Bulletin” go through double-blind review.
