Abstract

The article presents new information about the life of the writer Olga Aleksandrovna Volkonskaya and raises the question of the place in the history of Russian emigrant literature of her novel “Los emigrados” (in the Russian version – “Russian Parisians”). The absence of a Russian translation of the Argentine version of the work and the completed author’s version of the Russian edition allows, at the first stage of study, to outline only some vectors in the movement of the author's plan, to identify the most obvious stylistic features of Volkonskaya’s prose. A preliminary analysis of the text shows that Volkonskaya’s novel can be classified as a family novel; it is included in the formation of the Parisian text of the Russian emigration, and the style-forming beginning of some of her works is pronounced journalisticism.
