METAPHORICAL NAMES IN MICROTOPONYMYOF PERM KRAI

Abstract

The article considers the microtoponyms of Perm Krai, formed as a result of metaphorical transfer. The analysis of the presented materials indicates that the metaphorical nomination occurs in various kinds of toponyms. Most often metaphorical names in toponymy arise on the basis of associative connection with the names of parts of the human body or animal. Quite common are toponyms, formed from words denoting household items, including clothing and footwear.
