The research subject is the representation of regionalist lobbying organizations in the European Union institutions. Based on the analysis of the Transparency Register Data author characterizes the structure of regionalist lobby in the institutions of the European Union. The analysis demonstrates that the regional and municipal authorities of European countries, with their formal status as lobbying groups in the institutions of the European Union, actually remain incapable of influencing the political decision-making process at the supranational level, while the dominant position among the regionalist lobbying groups is occupied by organizations representing of associations of regions. The dominance of associations as the main regionalist actors in European lobbying is due to the administrative conveniences of mediated communication, in which associations act as mediators between regional and European elements of multilevel governance.References
