Abstract

In this paper, we consider the motion of electrons in a constant electric field in a certain temperature range, when the motion can be described by an equation of the Darcy–Brinkman type. We studied the onset of the stationary current flow in a conductor with and without taking into account the viscosity of electrons after switching on a longitudinal electric field. Solutions with an alternating electric field and a solution in the form of a traveling wave are also considered. In addition, we analyzed small perturbations of the stationary flow by the Galerkin method, which confirmed that the flow is stable at parameters corresponding to the flow of current through the conductor.
