METHODS OF THE ANTI-IMPERIALIST LEAGUE FOR SOLVING THE COLONIAL QUESTION IN ASIA AND AFRICA (1927–1930)

The article examines the activities of the Anti-Imperialist League in 1927-1929 in Asia and Africa. Based on the materials stored in the funds of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the author presented the areas of activity of the league's participants, namely Chinese, Indian, Egyptian, Syrian and Indonesian directions. The analysis of the league foundation showed that the most active measures to solve the colonial problem were carried out in the period from its inception in 1927 to the holding of the Second Anti-Imperialist Congress in Frankfurt am Main in 1929. All the measures identified in the article are divided into several groups: assistance in joining forces, working with the press, a policy of censure and organizing solidarity actions in oppressed countries. It is established that the primary task of the league's leaders was to take measures to create an association of disparate political forces in each of the countries under consideration, in order to create a unified anti-imperialist movement. A secondary task was to work with the press, which involved the publication of league materials and their wide dissemination in colonial countries. It is certain that an important measure to solve the colonial problem was the policy of condemning terror and foreign military intervention in the politics of dependent countries. The author also determined that the measures taken by the league in Asia and Africa generated a wave of solidarity between the peoples of these countries, which laid the foundation for the decolonization process that would begin after World War II. In addition, it was revealed that after the introduction of the "class against class" doctrine by the Comintern, a change in the vector was outlined in the league's activities, the direction of which the Comintern would set.References
