ANthroPoloGIcAl tyPe of clASSIc trAveler: trADItIoNS AND moDerNIty

The anthropological type of the classic traveler is a model portrait of the personality traits and motivation of travelers of the past and the present. Famous modern travelers: Fedor Konyukhov, Evgeny Kovalevsky and Andrey Korolev were chosen as subjects of the study. Their ideas and perfect trips were compared with the traditions of classical travels of the XIX century. One of the objectives of the study was to determine the motive. During the analysis of various sources of information, the key elements of the 21st century traveler’s portrait were identified. The anthropo logical type of the classic traveler is determined by the following features, namely the desire to satisfy higher needs, the realization of special abilities, overcoming oneself, being alone on the road, faith in God and truth, respect for nature and endowing it with reason. The dif-ference between 19th-century travelers and modern travelers is the goal of travel.References
