The article discusses the impact of the 2018 World Cup on the development of tourism in Mordovia. The World Cup is an international-level project that allows the development of sports, transport, engineering and tourist infrastructure. This event was the largest project for the city and the republic. The FIFA World Cup involves preparing for it, which is aimed not only at ensuring the holding of the event, but at the tourist development of the territory. Presented statistical information visiting tourist cities. The effect obtained by the Republic of Mordovia as a result of the 2018 World Cup was analyzed.References
