Geography and Tourism

This issue includes articles dedicated to the Perm Museum of Local History, which celebrated its 135th anniversary on November 15, 2025. Established in 1890 under the Perm Commission of the Ural Society of Natural Science Lovers, the museum became the city's first scientific institution. Over the years, it has maintained its role as a scientific and educational center for the local population and remains the main "showcase" for visitors to the region. The staff's publications offer insight into the history of the museum's collections, the infrastructural changes at the Khokhlovka Architectural and Ethnographic Museum, and approaches to creating contemporary exhibition projects and events. The regional studies section features articles on the principles of route planning, the current state of passenger service on the Black Sea, and the factors that make Petrozavodsk, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, and Tyumen tourist attractions. The active tourism section is dedicated to the waterways of the Kama region and covers the expedition of the Perm branch of the Russian Geographical Society to the Kolva River.
