SCIENTIFIC TOURISM AS A PROMISING AREA OF DOMESTIC TOURISM (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KALMYKIA)

Abstract

The paper considers issues related to alternative and non-traditional types of tourism, such as scientific tourism based on archaeological research. Possessing huge natural and historical and cultural potential, the Republic of Kalmykiya has excellent prospects for the development of scientific tourism, involving the participation of tourists in joint integrated work together with research scientists.
