Abstract

The landscapes role in shaping the ethnic culture, internal ethnic differences and ethnic similari-ties is recognized by researchers in different directions. The controversy relates to the degree of it influences in this processes. Not only ethnic groups that characterized by «hard» connections with the natural environment, adapt to the landscape and alter them, forming a complex system of relations with nature. Cultural landscapes also have ethnic overtones also in similar natural conditions in multicultural regions. However, in a homogeneous landscape the convergence of cultures is inevitable. The variability of ethnic-cultural space under the influence of the land-scape is illustrated by concrete examples.
