PROJECT OF UNDERGROUND MUSEUM OF MINING IN PER

Abstract

The Underground Museum of Mining is an object that tells the history of mining development in the Perm Region through a complex of specially recreated expositions. The main idea of the project is to popularize the industrial brand of the Perm Region. Perm Krai has always been famous for its mining industry. Many literary sources are devoted to this. However, it was almost impossible to touch the industrial glory of the Perm Region, because no similar objects have been presented on its territory before. For these reasons, the construction of an underground museum of mining is proposed as a project. The Underground Museum of Mining is a two–stage complex consisting of 7 expositions dedicated to the development of copper mining, abraum salts mining, gypsum mining, gold and diamond mining, as well as chromite and iron mining, respectively. Thanks to these expositions, future tourists will be able not only to physically touch this and that ore or minerals, but also to hear interesting facts about their extraction, to learn the history of what and why the presented ores were mined in the Perm Region, what production they were used for and how they affected the development of Russian industry as a whole. The Underground Museum of Mining will become a new stage in the development of industrial tourism in the Perm Region.
