DEVELOPMENT OF DIVING IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The rapid growth and high popularity of extreme types of tourism determine the growing interest in them around the world. Russia also does not stand aloof from global trends. The article discusses the possibilities and problems of developing in our country such a type of extreme tourism as diving. The huge and richest water-resource potential of the country is a powerful factor in the development of diving in the Russian Federation: seas washing the country’s coast, countless lakes and reservoirs, caves, etc. However, the development of diving tourism encounters a number of unresolved problems: a high concentration of diving centers in a limited number of subjects of the country, the underdevelopment of the peripheral system of diving centers, the lack of full fledged diving centers, the high cost of equipment and transportation costs, the lack of state support rzhki, etc.
