Abstract

KAMENNY GOROD TRACT: NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE OF THE NEWEST TOURIST DEVELOPMENT (problem statement)The frequency of tourists visiting the Kamenny Gorod tract from 1997 to 2020 increased more than 75 times. The last, two-fold rise in attendance is due to the increase in the spatial reach of the object. At the same time, a number of problems have arisen associated with the tourist exploitation of the Stone City as a tourist destination. Most of the agents of tourist practice con-tinue to treat the object as a consumer, the organizations responsible for the preservation of the Kamenny Gorod tract, as a natural monument, are practically not interested in its tourist exploita-tion, there are no tourist service facilities, systems and security measures within the tract, which entails a noticeable deterioration of the ecological situations within and around the tract, as well as a sharp increase in danger for tourists visiting Kamenny Gorod.
