Abstract

The Putorana Plateau is a unique geographical feature included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The development of tourism on the Putorana Plateau is deterred by many factors: distance, high cost of transport services and tourist products, harsh climatic conditions and underdeveloped tourist infrastructure. Tourist products offered by tour operators belong to the «elite» price category and that’s why they are not available to most potential consumers. This article presents the results of an expedition organized on an amateur tourism basis using sports and health tourism technologies. The route of the expedition is laid out in such way to reduce the cost of transport services and at the same time visit the most important tourist facilities. During the expedition, the group not only traveled more than 2,400 kilometers along the Yenisey and Kureika rivers, but also visited Lesosibirsk, Yeniseisk, Bakhta, Turukhansk, Svetlogorsk, Igarka, Dudinka and Norilsk for tourist purposes. The article is an example of tourists passing a multi-day route on a catamaran under a low-power motor.
