BALKHAR — THE NATIONAL CENTER OF ARTISTIC TRADES OF DAGESTAN

Abstract

In the article we considered one of the types of arts and crafts of Dagestan — balkhar ceramics, and revealed the tourist potential for ethnographic tourism development. The pottery glorified the village Balkhar and Dagestan to the whole world because of it’s originality. The producing of Dagestan ceramics counts a several thousand years. Balkhar ceramics is one of the oldest in the Caucasus. Today the fabric of national artistic trade in Balkhar continues to work and preserves old traditions. Balkhar attracts its ethnography scientists and tourists from the other countries. The folklore and architecture of Balkhar with domed furnace and masonry walls of buildings will interest everyone. Balkhars women engaged in felt production, weaved carpets and ribbons. The ancient rites of balkhars are very interesting. Balkhar ceramics and women costumes are kept in museums of the world.
