POTENTIAL OF EVENT TOURISM IN THE PERM REGION

Abstract

Events are one of the main attractors for travelers around the world. Within the framework of this article, various approaches to the concept of event tourism were considered. Further, the concept of tourism potential and, in particular, event tourism was considered. In the practical part, the potential of event tourism in the regions of the Perm region was assessed. The assessment of the potential showed that the tourist potential in the Perm region is characterized by territorial unevenness. The greatest variety of events is observed in the central, eastern and northern group of districts. Events, which have interregional and international importance, are missing in many parts of the region.
