ACTIVE TOURISM ROUTES: TERMINOLOGY ISSUES

Abstract

The problematic of modern practice of active tourism is primarily due to the diverse approach to understanding tourism by its main agents - tour operators, travel agents, organizers of tourist groups, persons accompanying them on the ground, tourists themselves. Even the constantly practicing agents of modern active tourism, when discussing the priorities of tourism development, are often unable to understand each other due to the inconsistent perception of basic concepts. For the convenience of designing and justifying a tourist product, it seems appropriate to have an agreed interpretation, in relation to active tourism, of the fundamental terms.
