MAMISON — AS A CENTER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOLOGICAL TOURISM IN RSO-ALANIA

Abstract

The article considers the educational and excursion trip by students of the department «Tourism» of the Vladikavkaz Polytechnic College to the Mamison Gorge of the RSO-Alania, where they got acquainted with the natural features of the future ski resort of federal significance, mineral springs and historical and cultural sights (ancient villages with their tower architecture, churches, temples, etc.), identified varieties of ecological tourism that can be developed. Such areas as medical and recreational, ecological-ethnographic, geological, scientific and cognitive are very promising, since all the necessary resources are available for their organization. During the excursion, students were able to deepen their environmental and local history knowledge and identified places for future ecological and cultural routes
