ORGANIZATION OF GEOTURISTIC AREA BY CREATING THE GEOPARK SYLVENSKY

Abstract

Geotourism is a new tourism niche that is growing thanks to the global network of Geoparks. The creation of Geoparks and development of geotourism generates need for new jobs, new economic activities and additional sources of income, which is necessary for socio-economic development of rural areas. On the territory of the Kungur region there is a lot of natural, cultural, spiritual and intangible heritage, as well as species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book of Perm Ter-ritory. To preserve the entire diversity of protected areas and heritage sites, it was proposed to create a geological park as an object of cultural and geological and historical heritage. As part of the study, a geodatabase has been created and is being filled in, including information on karst for-mations in the Perm Territory, and a route network of the projected geopark is proposed, which was compiled based on the materials of the Geopark “Sylvensky” geodatabase, formed in the process.
