MOBILE TECHNOLOGIES AS A TOOL FOR INCREASING TOURIST ATTRACTIVENESS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE PERM CITY)

The article presents the results of the first stage of developing a mobile application for excursions around the Perm city. The final goal of the study is a developing a mobile application allowing to get information about attractions and historical places using GIS technologies, geolocation and augmented reality. An analysis of existing solutions (izi.Travel, SmartGuide and GPSmyCity) is given for gathering the application requirements. An applications ability for organizing excursions around Perm is investigated. The result of the problem user interviews is also given. The thesis is put forward about the need to integrate augmented reality tools into the application. The concept of augmented reality, the features of its implementation and the possibility of using it in the developed application are considered in detail. The functional requirements are presented, thel ayout of the user interface is described. Based on the analysis of the subject area and answers to problem interviews, functional and non-functional requirements are presented. The end users of the application will be tourists and excursion routes authors.References
