Abstract

The article discusses the artistic functions of the butterfly image in the poetry of V. Nabokov. The author analyzes the contemporary research of Nabokov's creativity, made by Russian and Chinese literary critics, and comes to the conclusion that the butterfly image is connected with some ideas of Chinese thinkers.
