Abstract

The paper considers the local media space and the role of the audience in changing the space. The current state of the traditional regional newspaper and communities in social networks are characterized in the communicative aspect. The audience's preferences and peculiarities of communication between media and the target audience are revealed. Also an attempt was made to clarify reasons for switching audience's preferences while choosing a communication channel. The media function to consolidate the community was evaluated and described on the basis of the media in Krasnovishersky District of the Perm Region.
