Abstract

The phase transformations of pyrolytic boron nitride were studied under conditions corresponding to the direct transition of its hexagonal phase to diamond-like ones. Various options and possibilities for the formation of carbonate-like micropolycrystals are shown. The reality of a diffusionless martensitic transition, which retains the texture of the original material, and its combination with the diffusion mechanism of structure rearrangement in the presence of components in the system that facilitate the formation of dense phases, has been experimentally confirmed.
