Scientific readings in memory of P.N. Chirvinsky To the mineralogy of some ore occurrences of Bolshevik Island http://press.psu.ru/index.php/miner/article/view/10180
The article presents the characteristics of some occurrences of Bolshevik Island. Quartz-pyrite veinlets with galena inclusions are noted in the black shales of the Golyshevskaya area. An admixture of Co and As is noted in the pyrite, and the manifestation of calcite graphitization and potassium metasomatism is noted in the shales. The content of Pb, As, Au in the veinlets corresponds to the ore level. Mineralization on Cape Mordovina is represented by cassiterite-sulfide-quartz veins in hornfelses. Sulfides of As, Cu, Zn, Pb, bismuth sulfotellurides, muscovite and pyrophyllite are diagnosed here. The presence of cassiterite, arsenopyrite, and bismuth minerals indicate a connection between hydrothermal formations and crustal granites. The contents of Cu, Zn, As, Cd, In, Sn, Ta, Ag, Pb, Bi, Au are related to the ore level. Galena, sphalerite, pyrite, and acanthite have been diagnosed in the sulfide-carbonate-quartz vein of the Norinsky site. The content of Zn, Ag, Cd, and Pb in it corresponds to the ore level, which allows it to be attributed to the silver-polymetallic association.
V. E. Bayandin I. I. Special attention is paid to characteristics of local sources of allothigenous material removal to sedimentation basins of the said period, the main of which were of Upper Devonian-Carboniferous crusts of Middle-Late Triassic crusts of weathering on terrigenous-carbonate rocks, formations of trappean origin (dolerites, tuffs, tufogene thick layers) and kimberlites. That is why redeposited in ancient sedimentary thick layers products of various types of crusts of weathering preserve structural and chrystallochemical features in relation to the minerals of eluvial thicknesses, which allow tracing the ways of terrigenous material arrival into sedimentation basins (including diamondiferous material).
N. Each magmatic phase of intrusion, formed inside diatremes, is composed by kimberlites with specific petrographic and petrochemical type possessing a number of stable, weakly changing with depth typomorphic features. Carried out investigations indicated sufficient distinctions in diamondiferousness of different intrusion phases of kimberlites, which is stipulated by different level of emplacement and duration of functioning of forming them magmatic hotbeds, physical-chemical properties of initial components, as well as by velocity of ascent and character of kimberlite magma advance in the process of different kimberlite-formation stages. Kimberlite breccias of completion stages of pipes formation are most productive in comparison with porphyritic kimberlites of early intrusive penetration phases. When assessing productivity of kimberlite pipes it is necessary to consider real correlations of intrusive and explosive processes of kimberlite-formation in diatremes, which usually change in time.
N. As a result of the impact of the underground water flow on the weathering products, a supersaturated aqueous solution of gypsum with a high content of finely dispersed mineral fraction is formed, which manifests itself in the places of the outlet of turbidity of springs. Springs with turbidity are confined to areas of oil field development, where oil pollution is observed. A direct reaction occurs between sulfates and hydrocarbons dissolved in water with the participation of sulfate-reducing bacteria.
Yu. A. Kilin I. I. Sandstone is composed of apovolcanogenic flints and chalcedonies (up to 95%); quartz up to 5%. The composition corresponds to greywacke. The heavy-mineral fraction is dominated by chloritized biotite, magnetite, and zircon; titanite and spessartine crystals are common. Zircon, titanite, and spessartine are of the same type, with no signs of mechanical wear. We assume that the sources of the material were local, possibly related to the Early Permian tectonic magmatic activation.
A. Y. Kisin M.E. Pritchin D. A. To identify the features of mineral formation in such areas, we studied the soil of two springs in the Solonikha river basin (Aleksandrovsky Municipal District of Perm Krai; above the eastern boundary of the salt deposit) with a sodium chloride composition and a total mineralization of 15,13–23,67 g/l. During the mineralogical analysis of the soil, pseudomorphs (on plant detritus) of pyrite, less often barite and calcite were revealed. Visually, a direct correlation is noted between the intensity of pyritization and baritization processes and the total mineralization of water.
O. V. Using the example of new study areas adjacent to the western flank of the Syuzevsky placer diamond deposit, mineral associations of the heavy fraction of lithological samples taken from the base of the Takata formation in the Yaivinsky diamond-bearing region (Middle Urals) are shown. The results obtained are compared with the results of a previously conducted lithological sampling in the Vishera diamondiferous region (Northern Urals). The similarity of the new data obtained with the already known ones is emphasized. It is noted that the mineral association of the heavy fraction of the base rocks of the Takata Formation in both areas is leucoxene, while the mineral aggregate leucoxene is an indicator for weathering crusts. The data obtained make it possible to recommend a lithological sampling technique for prospecting work in new territories in diamond-bearing areas, in particular, to determine the spatial position of potentially diamond-bearing rocks, their mineral dispersion halos, as well as for the stratigraphic division of “silent” geological strata.
Y.
