Perm region: problems of spatial development

The paper considers current problems of the Perm Krai spatial development. Positive and negative aspects of the region’s location on the continent, at the junction of Europe and Asia, are revealed. The region positions itself as the territory of transformation from the resource-industrial to innovative-informational image with the priority of cultural and intellectual development. Particular attention is paid to the problems of compression of the socio-economic space and its functional organization in the form of intraregional territorially localized spaces. An important role in increasing the level of the spatial development balance of the region is played by the supporting framework of resettlement, which needs strengthening and modern communication support. In the system of the framework “cores”, it is proposed to strengthen the role of polarized development centers, which will contribute to the effective development of socioeconomics and improve the quality of the population’s life in the region.doi 10.17072/2079-7877-2018-2-50-62References
