The aim of the work is to develop and experimentally testa methodological system of tasks based on audiovisual resources, integrated into the content of the Spotlight6 teaching and methodological kit. The study applied methods of theoretical analysis (literary sources, teaching and methodological materials) and empirical methods (experimental training). The main results are:1) definition and substantiation of a set of criteria for the selection of media materials (cultural authenticity,socio-cultural richness, age adequacy, didactic appropriateness, etc.); 2) development of a structured systemof assignments (pre-media, media, and post-media stages) aimed at the gradual assimilation of cultural codesand the development of intercultural communicative skills. The scientific novelty of the study lies in thecreation of a holistic methodology that ensures the systematic, rather than episodic, development ofsociocultural competence within the framework of the standard curriculum. Its practical significance lies inproviding teachers with a ready-made toolkit (selection criteria, a resource bank, and a system ofassignments), the use of which complies with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard(FSES) and contributes to the effectiveness of foreign language education. A conclusion is drawn regardingthe effectiveness of the proposed approach, resulting in a significant increase in students' awareness ofcultural realities, their ability to interpret them, and productive cultural comparison.Downloads
