The work is devoted to the study of the physicochemical and surface-active properties of N-(benzoyl)-N'-(phenylsulfonyl)hydrazine (BPSH) to assess the possibility of using the reagent in the processes of concentration of non-ferrous metal ions. The solubility of the reagent in ethanol, 0.1 mol/l KOH solution, toluene, chloroform, and hexane was studied by spectrophotometry, refractometry, and gravimetry. Acid-base equilibria in reagent solutions and hydrolytic stability were studied by spectrophotometric method. The surface activity of BFSH was studied by the stalagmometric method.Downloads
