Migration policy of the European union in the context of globalization

The article covers the EU migration policy, its causes, and threats to the national security of the member countries. The author analyzes the regulatory legal acts adopted to resolve the issue, describes the consequences of the increasing number of immigrants and refugees, and demonstrates the positions of supporters and opponents of migrant reception. The crisis of principles of solidarity and fair sharing of responsibility between the member states are also under analysis. The author discusses the problem of islamophobia and nationalism caused by it, emphasizes the need to integrate immigrants and refugees into the European family and concludes that it is necessary to improve the EU migration policy.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17072/2218-1067-2018-2-21-30References
